Featured Product : Northern VA Senior Portrait Photographer

Remember a few weeks ago when I shared the lovely Ryan’s senior photos taken in Centreville, VA? Well if not, you can find her gorgeous photos here. Now the point of this blog post is to feature one of the most popular products for high school senior photography! Sure it’s great having the digital photos of your senior session, and although those are including in my print collections, what is even more important than digitals? Prints! Something tangible. Something you can actually hold in your hands and display in your home. That’s what brings the art of photography to completion.

So today I would like to show you one of Ryan’s chosen products: a Keepsake Image Box! These have been a hit with my high school seniors and their moms and with good reason! A Keepsake Image Box is a collection of your favorite photos, all mounted on styrene to make them super durable and are delivered in a beautiful fabric or leather box for safe keeping! I like to term these as the “modern day album.” The images can be kept in the box and flipped through whenever you like or you can take a few out frame them for the wall, lay them in an easel or give them to family! This product is very versatile meaning you have multiple ways of showing it off!

Keepsake Image Boxes are just one of the many ways to you can display your photographs. If you would like to learn more about them, or about my boutique wall art collections, message me here and I would be happy to share with you all the possibilities!

Paul + Jordan : Anniversary Photoshoot in Haymarket, VA : Virginia Modern Wedding Photographer

I am so excited to share these photos of the recent anniversary photo shoot. Jordan just happens to be one of my amazingly talented hair and make up artists and Paul is her very funny and sarcastic husband. I have been working with Jordan for nearly a year now and you can see some work here and here. She has worked so hard with me pampering my clients through hair and make up and being my reflector holder on previous shoots, that I was so excited to finally get her and her hubby in front the camera. On October 27th, they celebrated two amazing years of marriage! As anyone who has been married for some time can tell you, it’s not always smiles and rainbows. There are some hard and trying times and marriage and I’m sure Jordan and Paul have had their own fair share, but it’s amazing to see how much their love has grown through the years. Paul is still able to make Jordan laugh uncontrollably and Jordan’s beauty still makes Paul weak at the knees:D

Congrats Jordan and Paul on your two year wedding anniversary! May the next years bring even more joy, love and laughter in your marriage:-)Wedding photography, anniversary photo shout, outdoor couple photos in virginiaWedding photography, anniversary photo shout, outdoor couple photos in virginiaWedding photography, anniversary photo shout, outdoor couple photos in virginia

Decisions, Decisions : Gainesville, VA : Photographer in Northern VA

With all the photos I have of my son (we are literally talking thousands here folks) and my husband, I can count in one hand the number of photos we have that include all three of us, together as a family. After we subtract the iPhone photos, that number decreases even more. So in order to rectify that, I booked a photo session with the talented Alex Chalkley! Now we have these great images that I would like to showcase on my living room wall, but I need your help! Below are sample wall art displays that I am having the hardest time narrowing down. Would you mind glancing through the sample displays and commenting below which numbered display you think I should go with and why? I’d love to get as many opinions as I can! Thank you so much!!!

Beautiful pics Heather!! I vote for #1 or #5

Brooke Lull - October 30, 2014 - 8:34 pm

That was a tough decision! I would say either the 2nd one, or the 2nd to last one. I like the 3 gallery wraps in a row…4 seemed too busy. Can’t decide which center picture I like better though! the 2nd to last one may be my favorite bc they match/look more like a set…

Heather Chesky - October 30, 2014 - 9:50 pm

It is a tough decision, Brooke! Thank you so much for your input!

Dawn Groves - October 30, 2014 - 10:01 pm

I like #6 the best.

#6!

Dan - October 31, 2014 - 12:25 pm

Number 6

Amanda Bacon - October 31, 2014 - 12:48 pm

#7 is my favorite. I think the framed options look more polished. Great pictures!

Marie Gorny - October 31, 2014 - 2:44 pm

#6. The rich colors in the images and the grouping layout as a whole accentuates your living room and furniture the best… Though they are all simply beautiful!!

#4
