Running your own business can be demanding. I often work way more than the typical 40 hours a week. Shooting, editing, album designing, consultations, responding email inquiries, scheduling, marketing, and the list goes on and on and on. I love it, I really do. I’m challenged by every aspect of my photography business. I desire to see it grow and become better as each day and night I diligently work in and on it. But sometimes it’s necessary to take a break from the demands of entrepreneurship (not to mention the demands of life) and spend quality time with the ones you love most.
So I did just that.
Here is my sweet Aiden. He’s 20 months old now and I’m more and more amazed by him with every passing day. Who would have thought a heart could love so much? I love his giggles, how he pretends that everything from the remote controller to his legos are phones, how he points and calls everything “baa,” and how his cute baby fat jiggles while he runs. He’s absolutely perfect to me and all the time in the world isn’t nearly enough time to spend with him. I loved our time out at Manassas Battlefield one recent crisp fall evening. It was Aiden’s first time here and he took in all the sights and sounds. And as a photographer at heart, I just happened to have my camera with me and snapped a few of these photos so I could remember this precious time with my son for years to come! It’s amazing how much joy a simple photograph of a child can bring his mama <3
