Years ago, way way back in 2014, I had the honor and privilege of photographing a girl named Olivia. Olivia happened to be the very first high school senior that I ever photographed. As it turns out, I discovered that I absolutely loved photographing high schoolers who are just on the brink of saying good by to high school and hello to a whole new world of opportunity and experiences. It was way back then, and with Olivia as the forerunner, that I decided to start the HCP Senior Model Program. This year long program was and is exclusively for talented ambitious high schools who love being photographed, making new friends and also making an impact on our community. Three years later, the HCP Model Program has grown leaps and bounds, beyond what I ever thought it could be. We’ve partnered with a local martial arts studio to teach teenagers self defense and to take a stand against sexual assault and we gearing up to partner with Free & Crowned later this month to take a stand against human trafficking (more on that amazing opportunity later)!
Being part of the HCP Senior Model Program (or any high schooler that chooses to be photographed by my studio) goes way beyond a pretty portrait. It’s about empowering these young girls with self confidence so that they in turn can empower others and make a positive impact on our community.
So it’s with a lot of gratitude that I am introducing you to Diana today. Diana is the younger sister of Olivia and their family has been with HCP since the very beginnings. In fact, it was because of this family, that I had the amazing opportunity to photograph Westfield High School plays (both Olivia and Diana are a part of the talented theatre department).
Diana is incredibly spunky, full of life and seems to always have a smile on her face. She is thrilled to be going into her senior year at Westfield High School in Chantilly, VA. After she graduates, Diana’s dream job is to one day become an actress and/or a journalist! Diana is one of those girls you can’t help but love and admire. She has a way of bringing out the best in others. The world needs more people like Diana <3
After Diana was pampered with professional hair and make up by the talented Best Face Artists, we headed to Historic Manassas for her Senior Signature Session. Manassas, VA is the perfect blend of an urban vibe with a pockets tucked away here and there for beautiful greenery and natural elements!
See some of her favorites below!
Every girl (especially those in theatre and who love acting like Diana) needs to have a classic black and white portrait! Stunning!Meet Paisley!!! The cutest white fluffy dog that Diana can not live without!!Sweet kisses!!!Since Diana loves acting and being part of her theatre program, she is also needed an updated headshot. Don’t you think the one on the right is perfect for that?
This year, my calendar has booked up pretty quickly (seriously, awesome people are already claiming fall sessions and school isn’t even out yet)! If you want to get in on a limited Senior Signature Session this year, let me know here!
