As the summer is now in full swing, my calendar is becoming increasingly full of bookings for a photography category that is my personal favorite– SENIOR photoshoots! I love getting to know young men and women who are the future of our nation and working with students and their families to create tangible photo memories of this important life milestone.
Most bookings begin with an initial inquiry – prospective clients have either been referred to or found the studio online through a search engine or through our website. This inquiry, whether regarding a wedding photography or another milestone, usually begins with basic questions regarding availability and the booking process. However, when it comes to the inquiries specifically regarding senior photography, one question keeps re-surfacing:
“Can I schedule a senior photoshoot for my son?“
You’d be surprised how often I am asked if HCP does senior photos for guys. The answer is a resounding YES! For this reason, I would like to use today’s blog to feature a class of 2017 senior whose photos were a mix of sporty, casual, classic and fun. Meet Jason:
Jason is a member of the class of 2017 at CHANTILLY HIGH SCHOOL. He has played basketball for eleven years and loves it so much that he volunteers with CYA coaching in his spare time.“One of my happiest memories with Jason is playing basketball with him throughout the years on our driveway basketball court. The games were fairly even up until he grew taller than me.” Mom
” Jason is a tralented young man. He continuously amazes us with his awesome dance moves and sweet signing voice when he performs onstage.” – Mom
In these next photos you can see how we integrated his passion for the sport into the photoshoot by using a basketball as a prop. What props might help you express your passion?
Location, Location, Location! In addition to providing a beautiful backdrop for Jason’s shoot, Walney Pond was a special location because I photographed his sister Dana there two years ago. Click HERE to view Dana’s senior pictures!
