Last week we featured a senior guy named Jason from Chantilly, VA, who incorporated a basketball into his photo shoot to convey his passion for the game. This week, we are featuring a recent class of 2016 high school senior who used props to give her photo shoot a unique flair that perfectly represents her free spirit and joie de vivre!
Katie recently graduated from Paul IV High school in Fairfax, VA, and will be attending Virginia Tech this fall. She loves to dance, is excited about her future at Virginia Tech, and is a true original with obvious beauty inside and outside!
Katie’s photo shoot took place at the fields at Brawner Farm, which is part of Manassas Battlefield in Manassas, Virginia. Katie’s pictures were incredible (as you can see by watching the YouTube video below), and I attribute that to several factors:
- Katie brought multiple outfits that she felt best represented her personal style
- Katie let the camera see her personality by having fun with various poses
- Katie incorporated props – specifically, glitter, bubbles, and a chalkboard sign
This beautiful portrait of Katie laughing with bubbles was one of the two her family chose to have printed large and framed as wall art! Tune back in the coming weeks to see her beautiful artwork that now hangs in her home!
And this final senior portrait of Katie is the second portrait her family chose to be printed and framed as wall art! Come back to the blog in the coming weeks to see it!
One of the many perks of having your senior portraits done at HCP is the Reveal Video! After your session date, we meet again and I reveal all of your beautiful portraits for the first time set to music in a slide show. This leaves many seniors with huge smiles on their faces and many moms with happy tears in their eyes as they are overwhelmed with a sense of pride and thankfulness for the amazing person their young adult child is becoming. Seeing these reactions is easily one of my favorite parts of the entire senior experience!
Feel free to press play to view Katie’s video below so you can get a feel for one of the many final products, and so that you can use her ideas as a resource when planning your own Senior Signature Session with HCP!
