Hugo first laid eyes on Samantha as they were both working out in the same gym after a long day at the office. He instinctively knew that there was something special about this woman. He had to meet her. When Hugo finally got enough nerve to ask her out on a first date and she agreed to dinner, love was born.
Years after that first date in Old Town Alexandria, Hugo and Samantha vowed to become husband and wife at the Jefferson Hotel in Washington DC. Both had been married before, both had two children from that previous marriage and both had endured some difficult situations from those first marriages, but it was as if real life and true love started on that day. Blending two families is by no means an easy task, but this Bride and Groom, shared a mutual love not only for the other, but for their now step-children. All four kids were giddy at seeing their Mom and Dad so happy and were excited to start life together as a complete family.
There’s a lesson in Hugo’s and Samantha’s love story: love is full of second chances. Whether you’ve suffered through the loss of a marriage or a spouse, love still happens. It ain’t over yet and who knows: you may be just around the corner of your second chance at true love.
